Class Descriptions
Athletic Yoga
This is a class designed for athletes who want musculature conditioning in order to improve performance and help prevent injury. It is also for anyone interested in developing flexibility, stability balance and strength for overall health and wellbeing. Each week will focus on working different areas of the body. Anatomical correctness and good form is emphasised throughout the practice in conjunction with different breathing techniques.
Barre/Pilates Fusion
This is not your ordinary Barre workout; it is Pilates Evolved. The unique combination of high-energy cardio, strengthening and stretching results in a long, lean flexible body. Whether you are an avid runner, Pilates or Yoga practitioner or just looking for a way to get in shape, BarSculpt is an effective and safe workout.
Gentle Yoga
Suitable for beginning students as well as experienced students who enjoy a gentler class. Develop body awareness, learn basic postures, and proper alignment.
Kundalini
Creates a haven for everyone seeking a nurturing experience to enhance strength, flexibility, balance, a relaxed body and quiet mind. Classes begin with breathwork, standing and balancing postures. We move to the mat exercises, relaxation and meditation. Kundalini Flow is a wonderful class for all levels. Beginners welcome! A traditional 1 ½ hour Kundalini Yoga class designed to promote inner and outer strength and flexibility
Awakening
Awaken with a smooth, mindful vinyasa flow linking breath with movement. Slower paced transitions build flexibility, balance, and strength. Start the day feeling calm yet energized!
Thrive and Revive Yoga
This class is 60 minutes in duration. It is for all fitness and yoga levels. The class starts with a breathing meditation, which helps focus the mind and calm the nervous system, followed by a gentle warm-up. Afterwards, you are positioned into various supported restorative poses. Once in the pose, your job is to focus on your breath and consciously let go of any tension your body might be holding on to. I will go around to make sure everyone is in the best possible position according to their body’s natural flexibility.
Vinyasa
The literal translation of Vinyasa from Sanskrit is “connection”. Vinyasa, also called flow because of the smooth way the poses run together. In this class we will focus on linking beginner and intermediate poses (asanas), through a flow sequences that creates a rhythm of breath and movement. Routine practice of vinyasa yoga can increase muscle strength, endurance and flexibility, and reduce levels of stress. Beginners & Intermediate
Mindful Movement
Mindful movement is exercise performed with awareness. It involves mental focus to train your body to move optimally through athletic activity as well as everyday life.
Yoga Sculpt with Weights
A class that incorporates hand weights and cardio bursts for maximum calorie burning effect, hand weights add new challenge to traditional yoga. This class will get your heart pumping and blood flowing.
Power Energy Flow
A powerful, energetic form of yoga where students fluidly move from one pose to the next while connecting breathing to movements.
Slow Flow
Slow flow is also known as flow yoga. It leads to a gradual transition between various poses. Learn how to focus your body’s energy to build strength, balance, and endurance.
